Thoughts from living my life that I would like to pass on to those in my life and to other generations:
*Work like you don't need the money.
*Love like you've never been hurt.
*Dance like nobody's watching.
*Sing like nobody's listening.
*Live like it's Heaven on Earth.
*Choose to be a friend who will love through thick and thin and in spite of their sin.
*Choose to live life today as it was your last but plant your memories as if you were going to live another 100 years.
*Take the time to have some fun every day and share a laugh, a hug and a smile, with all you meet that day.
*Give Thanks for the precious memories that loved ones have given to you and for choosing to be your friend and for loving you through my thick and thin and all of your sins.

I truly thank my God for all of you! Dr H

For a good laugh, check out my friend Terry and I being stars for 60 seconds. What a fun time we had and what a great memory we created. I think everyone should try to create at least one memory a day that will last them a life time. Check out our fun video. If you have a dancing heads video system at your local mall I would plan to take each of my friends at least once a day or week to go to the mall and created your video.

Questions to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds

Slow down for three minutes to read this. It is so worth it. Touching words from the mouth of babes. A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, 'What does love mean?'
The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.'
Rebecca- age 8
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.'
Billy - age 4
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.'
Karl - age 5
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.'
Chrissy - age 6
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.'
Terri - age 4
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.'
Danny - age 7
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss'
Emily - age 8
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.'
Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,'
Nikka - age 6 (we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.'
Noelle - age 7
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.'
Tommy - age 6
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore..'
Cindy - age 8
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'My mommy loves me more than anybody You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.'
Clare - age 60A
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.'
Elaine-age 5
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.'
Chris - age 7
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.'
Mary Ann - age 4
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.'
Lauren - age 4
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.' (what an image)
Karen - age 7
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross.'
Mark - age 6
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot.. People forget.'
Jessica - age 8
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And the final one:

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, 'Nothing, I just helped him cry'

A REAL FRIEND...

What's the point of having friends if you can't be yourself around them?
A real friend is someone to cry with during the bad times.
A Real friend is some to gloat with during the good times.
A Real friend will visit you when you flat on your back.
A Real friend will put up with you when no one else will.
A Real friend will cry with you because for no other reason you are hurt and crying.
A Real friend is someone to rage with when life is really unfair.
A Real friend is someone to dream with while plotting your goals.
A Real friend makes an awesome cheerleader.
A Real friend is someone to pray with for support.
A Real friend is someone that you can laugh with until you make that funny snorting sound.
A Real friend is someone to burp and fart with because they don't care if you are a real person.
A Real friend you can be yourself and they aren't going to turn their back on you.
A Real friend will love you through thick and thin and in spite of your sins.

If you have to walk on eggshells, be on your best manners, or monitor your every word and action, then you're probably not with a real friend.

A real friend is one of life's greatest blessings, don't forget to give thanks.

My Prayer
Father in Heaven, Today again I give you thanks that you gave me a REAL FRIEND. A friend who gave me so many memories that will forever flood my heart, my mind, and will continue to give me laughter in my heart, as my days too grow old. I pray that someday someone might feel about me the way I feel about my best friend. We miss him, love him, and look forward to seeing Him soon. Again, thank you for the honor of knowing what it was to have had a REAL BEST friend in my life. May you fill our lives with laughter, hope and assurance. May you comfort our hearts during this time. As you cried at the grave side of your friends, I know you know how it hurts us all here today to be at the side of a REAL friend that is now in your hands. I know he is busy enjoying the presence of you and all those in heaven, so every now and then give him a hug from all of us and remind him how much we love him. Thank you for being our God, our hope, our assurance and most of all our Savior and soon coming King. In Jesus Christ's Name we pray.

Two Ends

Nature gave men two ends - one to sit on and one to think with. Ever since then man's success or failure has been dependent on the one he used most. -- George R. Kirkpatrick

If A equals success, then the formula is: A = X + Y + Z, X is work. Y is play. Z is keep your mouth shut. -- Albert Einstein

Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm. -- Winston Churchill

Questions I believe will help anyone start to bring change their life:

How can one try to improve upon their life if they don’t know where to look or how to change it? Many people never even try to grow in a positive way. Here are seven questions that I think will be a good start in a good direction. Try it yourself, and ask yourself the following questions today and then answer them again at the end of the week.

1. What will I try to improve on this next week?
2. What was I most proud of this week?
3. What was my biggest accomplishment this week?
4. What have I done to get closer to my life goals this week?
5. What was hard for me this week, and why was it so hard for me?
6. What was my biggest waste of time, hindrance and distraction this week?
7. What did I do this week that made me ashamed, proud, overwhelmed or left in awe?

"It's the setting of the sail not the blowing of the wind that sets the journey of the ship in motion" The setting of the sail is your concrete decisions of what your choice will be for you. Set your choices in stone then raise them high like a sail so that all will see and let your sail fill up with consistent actions and that will start you on a journey that will change your life!" It's the setting of the sail not the blowing of the wind that sets the destiny of the ship in motion. (Dr H)

IF YOU ARE WILLING TO DO WHAT OTHERS WON’T”…You will have,You will achieve,You will become…….what others never will. (Dr H)Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way. Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a Mystery and Today is a gift: that's why we call it - The Present."

"There are no limits to who you can become." The only constant is change -- and the only way to keep up with change is to learn and grow. The more you learn and grow, the more progressive and effective you'll become. Keep expanding your possibilities by being open and receptive to new ideas. If you're not constantly improving your learning power, you're falling farther behind -- and your earning power may be falling even faster. Key Action: Embrace change, and learn to grow from new ideas and experiences.

Never thought life would be this

I never thought in my wildest dreams that life would have taken so many turns of events in so many shapes and shadows of reality. Everyone is talking about how our world is changing yet it is my life that is changing faster than the world around me. As I look over the years I am grateful for each of them but as the days seems to get faster and more insane I often find myself wondering why? Why did I think the way I did about all the things that I thought were so important and that they would just go on and on the way they were, when in reality they were just blimps of time that have raced by. I never dreamed in all my days that I would be 52 and yet find myself racing so fast just to live my life with all I can before this thing called life can be over. Yet my life is changing so fast in so many directions that I have come to the conclusion that all that really matters is that I take the time to enjoy every day, every moment, every event and every person that comes my way knowing that people, places and events may all be but a shimmering short moment in this thing called life. I now believe with all my heart that it is intended for me to enjoy the very spark of life that is within me and to enjoy the very fact that I am alive and that there will be people, places and events that will fill my life with memories that will last forever in my life. I have come to understand that things do change more rapidly than I am ready for and that people come and go more often through my life than I would like. So today I choose to enjoy everyone in my life, and to look forward to the memories that I will hold dear long after the people, the events are gone. For that, I am so grateful. The question for today is: Did I take the time to see and experience everyone, every thing and every event that came into my life with awe and splendor. I am grateful for it all, no matter what that may be. Until then, I look forward to what the night and the new day may hold for me to experience. It is a page and chapter in my life. I embrace that adventure of this thing called life just like an artist waits for the picture to be revealed on their canvas. Every stroke of the brush, every color added or blended is what will make it a masterpiece. So, today we paint on the canvas of my life. To all who are in my life, you are the colors, the brush strokes that fill up the canvas of my life. I again, am so grateful for each and every one of you that play a part in my life and the memories that you help to create. What an awesome creator we have because my creator alone has allowed me to exist and I feel that that with each passing day I am learning more and more of what really is important and what is not that important. I close today with this final thought: You only get one shot at this thing called life so make the most of it today and live it to the max not forgetting to watch the sun rise and set in wonder of it all. I choose to slow down and take the time to look at each event, each person, each moment in time and to soak it all in before it changes once again.
